Sports Morning invites all Tallinners to get active

On November 22, the tenth annual Sports Morning will kick off, inviting residents to start their day actively. Free training sessions led by top athletes will be held at Sõle Sports Center, Tallinn Athletics Hall, and Tondiraba Ice Hall, with winter swimming opportunities available in Pirita and Nõmme.

Buses to temporarily replace trolleybus lines starting Friday

Starting Friday, November 1, buses will temporarily replace Tallinn's trolleybus lines due to the outdated condition of the trolleys and supporting infrastructure, which require modernization. The new trolleybuses are expected to start serving the city in the first half of 2026.

Landscape architecture competition launched for Ukraine Garden

The City of Tallinn has launched a public landscape architecture competition aimed at finding the best spatial design for the Ukraine Garden (Ukraina aed), located in Lembitu Park. The competition site covers the entirety of Lembitu Park, a formerly built-up city center block destroyed during the March bombings of 1944.

Tallinn calls for increased EU funding to meet climate goals

On October 21-22, Tallinn's Deputy Mayor Viljar Jaamu participated in the European Mayors’ Summit held in Strasbourg. The summit brought together European city leaders to share their vision with newly elected Members of the European Parliament and discuss the future priorities of the European Union. The key focus was on the role of cities in shaping EU policy and their contribution to achieving climate objectives.
