The city of Tallinn participates in TalTech's smart city projects

At yesterday’s meeting, the Tallinn City Council confirmed Tallinn's participation in three TalTech Smart City Centre of Excellence projects and agreed to their bridge financing. Participation in the projects contributes to the achievement of Tallinn's climate goals, the development of Tallinn as a smart city and the pursuit to become European green capital.

The Mayor of Tallinn congratulated the Mayor of Venice

The Mayor of Tallinn, Mihhail Kõlvart, congratulated his Venetian counterpart Luigi Brugnaro on the 1600th anniversary of the city of Venice. This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the establishing of diplomatic relations between the two countries - Estonia and Italy.

Tallinn aims to become climate neutral by 2050

Today, Tallinn unveiled a Climate Strategy that sets the goal of making the capital climate neutral by 2050. The progressive Tallinn Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Adaptation Plan aims to reduce the urban and economic impact on the climate in a way that enriches the economy and the urban environment. The city is welcoming citizens' feedback on the climate strategy until April 7 at rohepoore@tallinnlv.ee.

Tallinn joins in European minute of silence

Together with cities all over Europe, Tallinn participates in a minute of silence for the victims of the corona pandemic which started one year ago. The joint commemoration takes place today, 24 March, at 13:00 EET.
