The fourth participatory budgeting idea collection initiative in Tallinn has concluded successfully, with 492 ideas submitted, out of which 149 proposals have been selected for public voting. Residents can cast their votes for their favorite proposals starting Monday, November 20, until December 3, 2023.

The Tallinn City Government recently adopted a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, which was discussed at the City Council meeting on Thursday. Among other things, the plan proposes a review of the current parking policy, but the discount for residents will remain.

All residents are invited to participate in the voting for Tallinn's best athlete and team of the year 2023.

On Thursday, November 16, both lanes of Narva maantee at the Narva maantee - Laikmaa - Hobujaama intersection will reopen. Following that, the intersection of Gonsiori and Reimani Streets, as well as the sections of Logi and Sadama Streets, will gradually reopen for traffic.

The Tallinn Culture and Sports Department is organizing an idea contest for the development of properties at Rannamõisa tee 1 and Rannamõisa tee 3g, aiming to diversify and improve the overall environment and facilities for sports in Tallinn. From November 14 to 17, the 11th edition of the Music Meets Film (MMF) program, aimed at professional film composers and filmmakers, will take place as part of the PÖFF film festival, with Emmy award-winning composer John Altman as one of the key speakers.

On November 11, Mustamäe and Lasnamäe ice rinks will kick off the season, while the skating rinks in the Old Town and Nõmme will open a week later on November 18. The Mustamäe skating rink will open on Saturday at 11 AM in Männi Park, and Lasnamäe ice rink at 1 PM at the Tondiraba Park.

Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart visited Barcelona on November 7-9 to attend the Mayors’ Summit held within the framework of the Smart City World Congress 2023. The Mayors' summit calls for greater involvement of cities in EU policy-making and European democracy.

All students up to the age of 19 are eligible to receive financial support from the City of Tallinn in the beginning of the school year. To date, 46,603 applicants have already received the benefit, and a total of 4.4 million euros have been paid out. Applications can be submitted until November 30.

On Thursday, November 23, from 8 to 9 a.m., a sports event will be held in three sports centers and two winter swimming centers in Tallinn. At this event, everyone can join free training sessions.
