Waste management on Aegna Island will reach a new level

Tallinners can apply for first day sick leave benefits

The city of Tallinn pays a benefit of 30 euros to compensate the citizens for their first day of sick leave. From 14 April, applications for the compensation can be submitted in the city's e-service after the sick leave certificate has been completed and the payment has been made by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund (EHIF). Benefit for the first day of illness can be claimed retroactively on the basis of a sick leave certificate issued from 25 March.

This year’s Urban Maintenance Month focuses on circular economy

Tomorrow, April 15, the annual Urban Maintenance Month will be kicked off in Tallinn, which will be held for the 30th time. The motto of this year's campaign is "Responsibility for the Future" and the aim is to encourage people to think along on the issues of the circular economy and environmental education. During the Urban Maintenance Month, recycling of used items is made easy and hazardous waste can be disposed of free of charge.
