Relying on the position of the European Commission, Tallinn City Government will shortly launch an action plan on how to proceed with the renovation of the Tallinn Linnahall and its surroundings. The European Commission found in its preliminary state aid assessment that there to be no conflicts between making investments according to the Linnahall business plan and the rules on state aid.

Due to the construction of street lighting, one lane will be closed on the Tartu maantee between Tallinn Airport and the city border from May 14 to June 4. The sidewalk by Lake Ülemiste of the same section will be closed due to works until May 14.

The Tallinn City Government has appointed Mart Luik as the Business Director of Tallinn. Luik was selected in a public competition and will start working as the head of Enterprise Service of the Tallinn Strategic Management Office on 24 May.

On May 3rd, the second season of the sea waste skimmer Seabin was opened at the quay of the Tallinn Old City Harbour. In connection with the alleviating of corona restrictions, it will be possible to visit several museums in Tallinn again this week and see both reopening and brand new exhibitions.
