Tallinn's best business initiatives of 2024 announced

On October 2, during the Tallinn Entrepreneurship Awards gala held at the Seaplane Harbour Museum, this year's best development project, collaboration project, bright starter, tourism achievement, job creator, future solution, and circular economy promoter were announced. Awards were also given for the best applied research projects.

Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day: foresight, inspiration, and a glimpse into the future

On October 1, the annual Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day, themed "Forethought," will focus on the importance of strategic thinking and future-oriented approaches across various aspects of entrepreneurship. A total of 53 events, including seminars and workshops, will take place at the Radisson Collection Hotel Conference Center and other locations throughout the city. Registration is open.

Tallinn partners with Hayden AI to pilot automated monitoring of bus lanes and stops

The City of Tallinn, in collaboration with Hayden AI, is piloting automated monitoring of bus lanes and bus stops as part of the "Test in Tallinn" project to determine the number of traffic violations along two critical routes in the city center. The 90-day pilot project will start in November on bus lines 5 and 67. No fines will be issued during the test period.

Tallinn pilots accessibility app NaviLens for the visually impaired visitors at the zoo

Tallinn Zoo is testing a new mobile application, NaviLens, throughout August to improve accessibility for visually impaired visitors. The app uses innovative codes readable by mobile cameras to provide important directions and information about attractions. Initiated by the Tallinn Strategic Management Office’s Tourism Department, this project is part of a broader effort to update the city’s signage system.
