From the evening of Friday, May 3, at 20.00 until the end of Sunday, May 5, tram service between Kopli and the city centre will be temporarily suspended. During this period, tram lines 1, 2, and 5 will be replaced by shuttle bus line 52 on the segment between Kopli and Mere puiestee. This suspension is due to construction work at the temporary Linnahall stop and the tram turnaround loop at the Skoone Bastion stadium.

A week after restarting the Old City Harbour tramway construction works, the complex traffic conditions caused by changes in traffic management are gradually stabilizing. However, during peak hours, traffic regulators continue to assist at several intersections.

Following the restart of the Old City Harbour tramway construction on Monday, the traffic conditions in Tallinn’s city centre, initially complicated by changes in traffic management, are gradually stabilizing. Commuters are getting accustomed to the temporary traffic arrangements, and traffic regulators are now assisting at several intersections.

With the end of the winter break, the construction of the Old City Harbour tramway in the city centre continues, affecting the daily lives and traffic arrangements of many citizens. Tallinn invites businesses to utilize city support measures aimed at mitigating the impact of the construction works.

Construction work on the Old City Harbour tramway resumes today in the city centre, resulting in traffic management changes around the Linnahall intersection and Ahtri Street. Traffic regulators will manage critical intersections. Several bus lines are rerouted starting today, while tram lines No. 1, 2, and 5 will operate as usual until the evening of May 3.

As part of the Old City Harbour tramway construction, the urban space solution for Laikmaa Street is set to introduce a balanced mobility environment, more greenery, and convenient public transport infrastructure.

Construction on the Old City Harbor tramway will continue on March 4, and construction at the Tondi railway crossing will begin on March 15. The continuation of construction work will lead to changes in traffic and public transport routes.

On Wednesday, December 6, the segment of Gonsiori Street between Reimani and Laikmaa streets will reopen to city centre-bound vehicle traffic, restoring routes to Estonia Boulevard. This section had been closed since April due to the construction of the Old City Harbour tramway. The reopening of this segment, along with the earlier opening of major nearby intersections, significantly improves traffic in the city centre.

On Thursday, November 16, both lanes of Narva maantee at the Narva maantee - Laikmaa - Hobujaama intersection will reopen. Following that, the intersection of Gonsiori and Reimani Streets, as well as the sections of Logi and Sadama Streets, will gradually reopen for traffic.

The temporary tram line No. 6, introduced during the construction of the Old City Harbour tram line, will continue to operate on the Tondi-Kopli route until at least the end of October. Starting on October 1, the rest of the tram traffic will be fully restored. The City is also exploring the option of permanently continuing with tram line No. 6
