The Tallinn Sports School is an institute of sports, managed by the Tallinn Sports and Youth Department, the aim of which is to promote competitive sports in cooperation with private sports clubs.

The Tallinn Sports School provides talented young athletes from Tallinn, between the ages of 11 to 19, with the opportunity to engage in additional training, supplementing the services offered by sports clubs. The training services offered by the Sports School are provided to competitive athletes free of charge.  To form competitive sports training groups, contests are organised in different fields, as a result of which cooperation agreements are signed. Cooperation agreements shall specify the common action plan, goals and roles of the sports club, athlete, trainer and the Sports School.
