Benefit for non-profit making activities in the field of sports
Tallinn supports sporting events and athletes in Tallinn through various open calls. The objectives of the grants for non-profit activities are based on the Tallinn development strategy Tallinn 2035.
Support measures for 2025:
- Support for recreational sports events that promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
- Support for local sports projects taking place in Tallinn (local tournaments and other sports competitions).
- Support for international sports projects in Tallinn, including championship events (World Championships, European Championships), high-level sports events (World Cup stages, Grand Prix, etc.), and the capital’s traditional international sports competitions with the participation of athletes and/or teams from at least three countries..
- Support for Tallinn’s representative teams that have successfully participated in the Estonian top leagues for adults and in international leagues, with their home venue located in Tallinn..
- Support for adult high-performance athletes for preparation and participation in championship events.
- Support for Tallinn’s athletes of the year.
- Support for Tallinn’s best young athletes.

You can log in using your ID card or Mobile-ID.
Result
The department director will decide on the granting or refusal of the support based on the committee’s proposal.
The applicant must confirm their acceptance of the support terms in the self-service portal within 20 calendar days of receiving the notification.
No later than one month after the supported activity has concluded, the applicant must submit a report to the department along with the required annexes. The list of allocated grants can be found in the self-service portal.
When the result is unsatisfactory
It is possible to file an appeal against the directive via the Tallinn Culture and Sports Department to the Tallinn City Government or to submit a complaint to the Tallinn Administrative Court (Pärnu mnt 7, 15082 Tallinn) within 30 days from the date the directive was made known.
