International Children’s Games 2025
The main event of the European Capital of Sport 2025 is the 57th International Children's Games taking place in Tallinn from August 4th to 7th.
The Children's Games will bring approximately 1000 participants from 70 different cities worldwide to Tallinn. The organizing partner for the games is the Estonian School Sport Union. The patron of the event is Olympic discus throw champion and world champion Gerd Kanter.
In these games, 12-15-year-old schoolchildren will compete in seven different sports: football, 3x3 basketball, beach volleyball, athletics, swimming, judo, and fencing.
The broader aim of the Children's Games is to increase awareness among schoolchildren about different cultures and to provide them with an opportunity, through sports and friendship, to create international connections.
Admission to watch the schoolchildren's competitions is free of charge.
