Residents invited to presentation on Ristiku Street reconstruction project

Tallinn is developing a comprehensive solution for the reconstruction of Ristiku and Härjapea streets to transform the area into a human-centered urban space with smooth and efficient traffic flow. The presentation of the Ristiku Street main project will take place online on Thursday, August 29, at 17:30, and all interested parties are welcome to attend.

Construction work to interrupt tram service to Kopli this week

Water and sewer line construction at the intersection of Tööstuse, Kopli, and Sitsi streets will interrupt tram line No. 1 from August 12 to August 18. During this period, replacement bus service No. 52 will operate. Bus lines No. 3, 26, 26A, and 73 will also be rerouted from August 12 to August 31.

Free legal advice available in Kristiine and Põhja-Tallinn in June

The City of Tallinn is offering free legal advice to residents during scheduled consultation days in each district. The next consultation days will be on June 6 from 9:00 to 14:00 at the Kristiine District Government office and on June 13 from 13:00 to 18:00 at the Põhja-Tallinn District Government office.

Tallinn to build a 14-kilometer linear park

Next week, construction will begin on the first phase of the Putukaväil (The Pollinator Highway) project in Tallinn, creating a new pedestrian and cyclist corridor between Ristiku and Sõle streets and establishing a diverse linear park that connects Sõle Street with Kolde puiestee.

Kopli volunteer rescue squad begins operations

Today, the Kopli Volunteer Rescue Squad begins operations, offering basic rescue capabilities. This includes a 24/7 smoke diving rescue team capable of responding within 60 seconds, equivalent to the response time of professional firefighters.

Tram service to Kopli suspended from first weekend in May

From the evening of Friday, May 3, at 20.00 until the end of Sunday, May 5, tram service between Kopli and the city centre will be temporarily suspended. During this period, tram lines 1, 2, and 5 will be replaced by shuttle bus line 52 on the segment between Kopli and Mere puiestee. This suspension is due to construction work at the temporary Linnahall stop and the tram turnaround loop at the Skoone Bastion stadium.

Tallinn initiates construction of a new school in Põhja-Tallinn

Today, on April 15, representatives from the City of Tallinn and the architectural firm Sammas Arhitektuuribüroo OÜ unveiled the project for a new school building and its construction progress at Karjamaa Street 18, Põhja-Tallinn. In response to the growing demand for school places due to new developments in the area, the city plans to renovate a building formerly used as a school until 2021 and open a new primary school with 864 student places.
