Tallinn supports various music events with over €154,000 in grants

As a UNESCO City of Music, Tallinn pays special attention to music events that that add vibrancy to the city's cultural lineup. For the first round of music project grants in 2024, the city will allocate a total of €154,070 to support 32 initiatives. A record number of 90 projects were submitted for this funding round.

Tallinn supports the creation of cultural events for people with disabilities

Until March 8, 2024, applications for funding professional cultural projects designed for people with disabilities can be submitted to the Tallinn Culture and Sports Department. The grant supports the creation of new events that consider the specific needs of people with disabilities and are artistically compelling. The city also organized an inspiration day to gather ideas and information.

The Tall Ships Races invite organizations related to the sea, environment, or safety onboard

The City of Tallinn is set to host the 2024 Tall Ships Races, an event that will attract tens of thousands of sea enthusiasts from Estonia and abroad to the city's three harbors: Seaplane Harbor, Noblessner Marina, and Old City Harbor. Organizations involved in maritime, environmental, or nature conservation efforts are encouraged to participate in the largest maritime festival at the Old City Harbor cruise area to share their knowledge with others.

Miiamilla Children's Museum reopens with exciting new features

The renovated Miiamilla Children's Museum was opened on January 11 by the Estonian President Alar Karis, Sirje Karis, Mayor of Tallinn Mihhail Kõlvart, and children who contributed to the museum’s completion. The new permanent exhibition "Children's Universes" welcomes visitors starting Saturday, January 13.

Tall Ships Races 2024 in Tallinn awaits hundreds of volunteers

From July 11-14, 2024, Tallinn is hosting Europe’s largest sail training ship regatta, the Tall Ships Races, bringing nearly 50 large sailing ships to three of the city's harbors. In preparation for this major summer event, the city invites applications for volunteer positions at the Tall Ships Races.
