Tallinn Marathon to cause temporary traffic disruptions

The Swedbank Tallinn Marathon and Tallinn Autumn Run, taking place next weekend, September 7-8, will bring around 20,000 participants to the streets of Põhja-Tallinn, Kesklinn, and Haabersti, leading to temporary changes in traffic and public transportation.

IRONMAN Tallinn to bring temporary traffic and public transport changes

Next weekend, on August 24-25, the international triathlon event IRONMAN Tallinn 2024 will take place, resulting in temporary traffic restrictions and changes in public transport routes in both Tallinn and Harjumaa. In Tallinn, the temporary changes will mainly affect the Haabersti district, with parking and traffic restrictions as well as changes to public transport schedules.

Program announced: Tall Ships Races brings over 60 sailing ships and a maritime festival to Tallinn

From July 11 to 14, Tallinn will host the world’s largest sailing training regatta, Tall Ships Races, at Lennusadam, Noblessner Harbour, and the Old City Harbour cruise area. Over the course of four days, the harbors will be filled with a festive atmosphere – visitors can explore sailing ships, enjoy performances by Estonia’s top artists, and participate in activities both on land and at sea.

City to discontinue Tallinn Sports School

Today, the Tallinn City Government decided to propose to the City Council the discontinuation of the Tallinn Sports School, an institution run by the Tallinn Culture and Sports Department, by no later than June 30 of this year. The current responsibilities and commitments to young athletes previously held by the sports school will be transferred to the Tallinn Culture and Sports Department.
